About

Meadow Crosby

Hello, I'm Meadow Crosby, the founder of Trestles Native Plants, established in 2022. Growing up near Trestles Beach in San Clemente, I've always felt a deep connection to the natural beauty of California's coast. This love for the land drives my work—designing landscapes that are as sustainable as they are beautiful.

With over 10 years of experience and a focus on native plants, I create landscapes that work with nature, not against it. After spending several years at Pan's Garden Nursery in Ojai, I earned my Native Plant Landscaping Certification with the Theodore Payne Foundation in 2024.

I specialize in creating landscapes that reflect California's unique beauty, using native plants sourced from local growers. Whether you're looking for something modern and refined or relaxed and coastal, Trestles Native Plants brings a piece of California's natural landscape to your home.

Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge and honor the land of the Acjachemen (Juaneño) People, the original stewards of this land, whose deep connection to this place spans thousands of years.

As you walk the trails to the beach, you pass through a landscape steeped in California's history. The scent of sage, vibrant sycamore bark, and birdsong surround you.

By using bioregional plants, we support species adapted to the local ecosystem and preserve the region's natural history.

Why Native Plants?

Native plants are important because they are adapted to the local climate, require less water, and support local wildlife. They help preserve biodiversity, improve soil health, and reduce the need for pesticides and fertilizers that harm watersheds.

Simply put, they create healthier, more sustainable ecosystems that have been a part of natural history for thousands of years.
